CBH has posted the Provider Bulletin 22-03: Inpatient Mental Health Technician: Name Change and New Requirements. This Bulletin is to inform Providers that the new Inpatient Mental Health Technician (MHT) position will replace the Inpatient Mental Health Worker (MHW) position.

CBH has posted the Provider Bulletin 22-04: CBH Compliance Department Documentation Requirements: Per Diem Substance Use Disorder Services as an update to Provider Bulletin #18-05. The guidelines contain documentation requirements for Residential/Inpatient Services and Medically Managed Intensive Inpatient Services under American Society of Addiction Medicine (ASAM).

CBH has posted the Provider Notice: Provider Bridge Payment Clarification and Due Dates. This Notice is inform Providers who received the COVID-19 Alternative Payment Arrangement (APA) through December 2021 about their eligibility to receive Bridge Payments throughout the 2022 calendar year. Additionally, the Notice provides further clarification on requirements and claim submission deadlines pertaining to Bridge Payment dates.

CBH has released the Provider Notice: 2022 Provider Personnel Roster Template. This Notice is to inform Providers that the Personnel Roster Template for 2022 is now available on the CBH website.
Providers must submit completed rosters via email to cbh.compliancecontact@phila.gov by Friday, February 18, 2022.

Community Behavioral Health (CBH) – Provider Notice: Termination of Provider Specialties 133 and 134
CBH has released the Provider Notice: Termination of Provider Specialties 133 and 134. This Notice is to inform providers that the Office of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services (OMHSAS) has terminated Provider Specialties 133/ D&A Medically Monitored Residential Short Term and 134/ D&A Medically Monitored Residential Long Term. These specialties will be replaced with new American Society of Addiction Medicine (ASAM)-related Specialties added for 3.5 and 3.7 Residential services.

PerformCare – CABHC Alternative Payment Arrangement Update
PerformCare provided a follow-up reminder in the December 20, 2021, APA notice (PDF) that all CABHC COVID-19 alternative payment arrangements (APAs) ended on December 31, 2021, unless your agency has an approved service-specific APA extension until March 31, 2022. PerformCare will continue to pay any claims that exceed the approved monthly APA amount for each approved service for providers with an approved APA extension.

PerformCare – Compliance Training and Attestation
As part of PerformCare’s ongoing efforts to assist their network providers and ensure their members receive the highest quality care, PerformCare has created two new trainings on compliance and medical record documentation. These training modules are now available on the PerformCare website.
To further ensure that PerformCare reachs those network providers who would benefit most from these trainings, beginning on January 1, 2022, PerformCare will be requiring any network provider subject to a Quality Improvement Plan (QIP) or Corrective Action Plan (CAP), or specifically identified by the Special Investigations Unit (SIU), to complete these online trainings.

Since fall 2021, PerformCare has issued memorandums every other month to support providers by sharing best practice standards on assessment, treatment, and management of clients with suicidal thinking.

PerformCare – Telehealth Audio-Only Modifier 95
On September 30, 2021, OMHSAS issued bulletin OMHSAS-21-09: Guidelines for the Delivery of Behavioral Health Services through Telehealth Rev 2021-0930, which outlines requirements for providers delivering behavioral health services via telehealth.
Provider Notice AD 21 110: Telehealth Audio Only Modifier 95 (PDF) reminds providers that effective February 1, 2022, PerformCare providers who deliver audio-only telehealth should use the 02 Place of Service Code and add the 95 modifier when submitting claims for services delivered via audio-only telehealth.
