On October 17, 2023, the PCCYFS 2023 Education Summit will be held at the Child Welfare Resource Center in Mechanicsburg from 10am to 2pm.
The PCCYFS Education Summit will cover topics that focus on youth in placement including education legislation, special education, and education for youth in placement (best interest determination, transfer of credits, collaboration, etc.).
The Summit will open with two special guests:
- Deputy Secretary Laval Miller-Wilson, Office of Children, Youth and Families with the PA Department of Human Services
- Deputy Secretary Carrie Rowe, Office of Elementary & Secondary Education with the PA Department of Education
