For over 40 years the Juvenile Court Judges’ Commission (JCJC), in partnership with Shippensburg University, has sponsored a graduate education program for working juvenile justice professionals.
The program is available to full-time juvenile probation officers, juvenile justice service providers, and other juvenile justice professionals in Pennsylvania who graduated from an accredited college or university with at least 18 credits in the behavioral or social sciences.
Applications are now being accepted for the next cohort of students who will begin their studies later this summer. We invite staff working in our service provider system to consider applying for this program, as the program’s design and objectives can benefit anyone working in the juvenile justice field.
Please note the JCJC cannot provide financial assistance to staff working in the provider community, however, many of these costs can be offset through tuition reimbursement programs available through their employer.
Interviews for prospective students will be held in April.
The Prospective Student Guide below contains information on the program, answers frequently asked questions, and provides a timeline on the application process.
Please contact Sonya Stokes, JCJC Director of Professional Development, at systokes@ship.edu or (717) 477-1294 if you have any questions.
