Older Adolescents and Money Management
With the passing of the Family First Prevention Services Act of 2018 and the Consolidated Appropriations Act 2021, resource parents, case workers and providers are working to increase their skills to best support older youth. Children in foster care often miss out on normal opportunities to learn about how money works – from earning and saving to budgeting and spending wisely, this workshop will provide caregivers with an outline and plan for helping the children in their care to learn about money and begin to develop money-management skills that will assist them in becoming successfully independent as adults.
