Managing Anger: Yourself and Others

Have you ever said or done something that you later regretted while in an anger state? Anger is one of the most powerful emotions that we have and experience as human beings and learning how to best navigate this powerful emotion can benefit both ourselves and others. During this webinar we will explore thedifference between using anger constructively vs destructively and explore how the human brain works and responds when we experience this emotion. Other learning objectives include:•Define and explore the basic principles and properties of constructive and destructive anger

  • Review the ways anger can impact children and manifest in their behaviors
  • Acquire basic information about brain structure, growth, development, and functioning
  • Review how anger can be related to the brain’s functioning and the impact ofneurotransmitters and hormonal responses to outside stimuli
  • Examine ways to promote healthier expressions of anger in children and caregivers
  • Discover ways to effectively manage and provide healthy and appropriate responses to anger
