Engaging with your Child’s Birth Family, Kin & Siblings

Positive, meaningful engagement with the birth families, kin and siblings of children in foster, kin and adoptive homes is essential for safety, well-being and healing from trauma. While positive and purposeful visitation is one of the single most important indicators of successful reunification, engagement is also important for successful transition to permanency in both kinship and adoptive families. Using a “Recipe for Success” as a framework, this webinar provides fun, engaging and interactive opportunities for participants to learn how to prepare for and support children while also keeping them safe as they learn about, connect with, or even say goodbye to their birth family members.
