Building and Sustaining Father Engagement

Fathers play a critical role in the development and growth of their children. Far too often, however, fathers are a missing piece in a child's life. For professionals in any field that works with children, to seek greater involvement of fathers in their children's lives, they must know the resources available to locate the father and then be able to facilitate the father's engagement. This workshop explores methods to identify, locate and engage fathers. The workshop will assist professionals in the development of skills necessary to identify strengths and to recognize and overcome fathers resistance.
