Have you ever been confused by a child or youth’s behaviors, especially when the situation did not seem to match their behavioral response? A trauma informed approach may help to examine and discover new ways to view behaviors and determine best fit interventions. During this 2-hour webinar we will examine the effects of trauma on a developing human brain and learn how that may be related to current overall functioning. Trauma can occur from being exposed to certain environmental factors as well as from experiencing any form of abuse, domestic violence, neglect, and/or serious medical issues. We will discuss potential parenting strategies and therapeutic interventions that may help the child, youth, or now adult to continue their journey of healing and self-improvement.
